Maison de Montille offers their signature style and quality-driven winemaking while focusing on lesser-known villages that offer outstanding value.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MuiTypography-root accordion_paragraphSection__v26kt MuiTypography-body1\"\u003eOriginally called Maison Deux Montille, the project began as a partnership between siblings Alix and Etienne de Montille. They sought to experiment with grower fruit from different appellations to those traditionally vinified by their father, Hubert. When his sister retired, Etienne took over and renamed the project Maison de Montille. Etienne’s approach in the vineyards replicates that of his family domaine, using the same team to oversee viticulture, decide harvest dates and select the grapes. Long-standing grower contracts ensure that Etienne knows all his growers personally and can work with the same high quality each vintage. Winemaker Brian Sieve makes the wines at Domaine de Montille’s cuverie in Meursault, producing elegant, aromatic, and balanced wines that reflect their sense of place.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MuiTypography-root accordion_paragraphSection__v26kt MuiTypography-body1\"\u003eThe Rully, sourced from a 50-year-old vineyard, is startlingly good. It has excellent depth on the palate, less oak than many from this appellation and great length, defined by white stone fruits. The Saint-Romain, from some of the highest vineyards of the Côte de Beaune, is precise, linear and mineral. Similarly, the Pouilly Fuissé ‘En Vergisson’ is tighter than many wines from this appellation, displaying the delineated flavours that winemaker Brian manages to extract from the grapes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MuiTypography-root accordion_paragraphSection__v26kt MuiTypography-body1\"\u003eThe Pommard 1er Cru ‘Pomone’ takes its name from the Roman name for Pommard, a nod to the great heritage of this part of Burgundy.
