Armagnac

Armagnac (brandy) is a traditional French brandy that comes from the southwest of France, and it’s actually older than its more famous cousin, Cognac.

It’s produced in the Armagnac (region) using white grapes (mostly Ugni Blanc, Baco, and Folle Blanche). After fermentation, the wine is distilled into spirit—but unlike Cognac, which is usually double-distilled, Armagnac is typically single-distilled in a continuous still, which gives it a more rustic, complex, and aromatic character.
