About us

In 2002 we took our experience of working with one of Scotland's most awarded restaurant wine lists and opened our store in Portobello in Edinburgh's east and began selling online, shipping throughout the UK. Since opening we have been blessed with the loyal custom of Edinburgh's fabulous locals, and many of our earliest customers are still regulars today.

Thanks to continued growth we now have one of the widest ranges of wines by-the-case anywhere online. This range allows us to reward our high-street customers with a constantly evolving selection, from prestige cuvees which grace the nation's finest wine lists to the unique regional beauties that are only found off the beaten path. Whenever possible we take the time to tour the smaller producers, we prefer to do business with, shipping direct to cut out middlemen and keep our prices low. We now also stock hundreds of craft beers, 100+ malt whiskies, dozens of Scottish gins, ancient Armagnac's, and much more.

While becoming an e-tailer has allowed us to massively expand our range of products, we remain faithful to the values we had the day we cracked open our first case. We still strive to deliver friendly, down-to-earth service, and great value, high quality products. All things you would expect from your local independent wine merchant.
