Colour: Medium to deep red.Aroma: Ripe, dark berry fruit with flecks of pink peppercorn and chocolate initially. Hints of damp earth and mint also emerge once the wine begins to open up with air. The oak is very much in the background and does not playing a major role here.Palate: The palate is soft and rich, brimming with dark berries, chocolate and a little spice. The rich flavours are nicely tempered by savoury tannins and balanced acidity. A medium bodied Clare Red at its attractive best.Summary: The richness and softness of the Shiraz (85%) is complimented by the slightly rustic tannins of the Tempranillo (15%). Drink now and over the next 3-5 years. Great with something retro like a good old fashioned Chilli Con Carne. Enjoy.
