The Wine Advocate Points - 92 pts The white 2021 La Vi7a de Ayer Albillo Real is the equivalent village white to the red one of the same name. It was produced with grapes from different vineyards in Cebreros at some 750 meters in altitude on granite, sand and slate soils that yield no more than 2,000 kilos per hectare. The grapes were cooled down, destermed and fermented in concrete after some skin contact and kept with lees for eight months in oak vats. To keep the freshness, it didn't go through malolactic fermentation. It has an expressive nose, with herbal notes, 13% alcohol and the classic bitter twist on the finish. It's tasty, with flavors of herbs and spices, fresh and balanced. It seems like 2021 was good for Albillo Real. 5,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2022.
