Chacra Barda Pinot Noir 2022 is a light- to medium-bodied red wine from the Patagonia region of Argentina. Situated in the Rio Negro Valley of northern Patagonia, Bodega Chacra is a winery founded in 2004 by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta. His family is renowned for creating the iconic Italian wine Sassicaia. Chacra boasts three vineyards featuring exceptionally old Pinot Noir vines, some of them planted as long ago as 1932. This particular release is made from younger vines, and it was designed to be consumed when still young. The 2022 was matured in 1/3 in concrete vats, 1/3 in barrels and 1/3 in stainless steel tanks for 11-12 months. "A bright, ruby-hued Pinot, the nose presents with aromas of cherry and rose, underscored by hints of damp earth, chamomile and orange peel. Dry and lean, the palate seems almost infused with flavour, structured with fine dusty tannins.
