Immediately evocative of Burgundy in both appearance and aroma: transparent red, with a lilting perfume of strawberries, tilled soil, pot pourri, cherry pie, Turkish delight and just a hint of hot tarmac after a summer rain shower. In the mouth, it's much bigger and more powerful than either the nose or appearance suggest. Big, chewy tannins, and flavours of white chocolate, leather, university library and new oak. Fabulous potential, but demands time in which to achieve it.
